Austin Health has been committed to improving the lives of our patients since it was founded by philanthropist Elizabeth Austin, as a ‘hospital for the incurables’, in 1882. Today our organisation comprises of Austin Hospital, the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital, the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre and the Olivia Newton-John Centre.

We are renowned for our specialist work in cancer, transplantation, infectious diseases, obesity, sleep medicine, intensive care medicine, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation. In addition, we are a state-wide provider of specialist services including:
