The Austin Waldorf School is a primary and secondary education institution located in Austin, Texas, United States, employing 51-200 people and operating a website at austinwaldorf.org. The school originated from the vision of Helen Steele, a former teacher at the Highland Hall Waldorf School who moved to Texas in 1973, and opened in 1980 with a first-grade class of eleven students. In 1986, the school purchased an eleven-acre site on the southwest edge of Austin and relocated to its permanent campus there; by 1990 there was a move toward establishing a high school. The high school graduated its first senior class in May 2001. In 2026 the school announced expansion of campus facilities in Dripping Springs, Texas, marking its first major campus expansion in more than twenty years, and reported revenue in the range of $1M–$10M.
