The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) is a non-profit, independent entity in the spectator sports sector, based in Sydney, New South Wales. It aims to develop, promote and protect Olympism and the Olympic Movement in Australia in line with the Olympic Charter, and it is responsible for selecting, sending and funding Australian teams for the Olympic Summer and Winter Games, the Youth Olympic Games and Regional Games. As an Incorporated Association, its members are the national bodies of sports on the Olympic program, with State Olympic Councils representing the AOC in each state and territory. The organization supports Australia's athletes and fosters high-performance sport through funding and related initiatives, while also promoting participation in sport for health, fitness and wellbeing across the population. It also focuses on youth education through programs such as the Olympics Unleashed and Australian Olympic Change-Maker initiatives. In April 2025, Mark Arbib was appointed chief executive, succeeding Matt Carroll.
