ARDC supports Australian researchers by building and operating national-scale digital research infrastructure that underpins data-driven discovery and research impact. It is recognised as Australia's leading facility for research data infrastructure, facilitating access to datasets and tools across academia, industry, and government. Based in Caulfield, Victoria, the organization collaborates with a broad network of partners to ensure researchers have access to high-quality data assets, platforms, infrastructure, policies, people, and training to advance research activity. ARDC pursues programs and partnerships intended to keep Australian researchers internationally competitive by providing broad access to essential data resources and accompanying training and policy supports. Through national and international collaborations, ARDC works to develop, make accessible, and sustain data and software assets for use by the research community. In June 2026, ARDC joined a collaboration to advance the Australian Federated Data Infrastructure with the National Computational Infrastructure, AARNet, and the Australian Access Federation.
