Australian Sailing is the national governing body for the sport of sailing in Australia. Based in North Sydney, New South Wales, the organization works to advance sailing across domestic and international communities and across all levels of participation. It provides leadership to sailing clubs and classes, delivers services and support, and develops high-performance practices to build the sport’s capability and position it as a leading activity in the country. With a mid-sized workforce, the body coordinates governance and development across the sailing ecosystem. Its primary audience includes clubs, classes, sailors, and other stakeholders involved in sailing. In 2026, the organization launched the Spirit of S.A.I.L.I.N.G. Award, a values-based recognition program to be presented at Zhik Youth Sail events.
