Autism Early Enrichment Services (AEES) is a New York City based Early Intervention program that is rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis and incorporates strategies from various development models to serve the needs of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD’s). The AEES program uses an interdisciplinary approach, where teams of special instructors, speech therapists and occupational therapists consistently work together over long periods of time. AEES strongly believes in cultivating synergistic relationships among therapists so that they may over time, be well practiced at tailoring their intervention to the specific needs of families they serve. The AEES program adheres to core principles of the national Early Intervention Program for infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families, based on Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Intervention is provided to the maximum extent possible in natural and inclusive environments and integrated throughout typical everyday experiences, where parents play a primary role in their child’s learning.
