The Autism Society of Greater Orlando is a small nonprofit based in Orlando, Florida, serving the Central Florida region. Founded in 1996 by volunteer parents, its aim is to create a lifelong network of opportunities for individuals on the autism spectrum to be accepted, included, and actively participate in their communities, through family support, education, advocacy, and public awareness. The organization relies primarily on volunteers, many of whom are parents, and does not position itself as a professional service provider. As a 501(c)(3) entity, its programs—information dissemination, workshops, conference grants, and social events—are funded through fundraising, private donations, ticket sales, and dues. Based in Orlando, ASGO serves the Central Florida community through its volunteer-driven model. In 2024, ASGO formed a partnership with Smith & Warren to support Autism Awareness Month.
