Auto-ISAC was established in 2015 by automakers to create a global information-sharing framework for vehicle cybersecurity risks. The organization runs a central hub for sharing, tracking, and analyzing intelligence about cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents affecting connected vehicles. Its membership comprises most light-duty vehicles in North America and more than 30 global OEM and supplier members, with ongoing expansion to include heavy trucking OEMs, their suppliers, and the broader commercial-vehicle ecosystem such as fleets and carriers. 

Headquartered in Washington, DC, Auto-ISAC operates within the motor vehicle manufacturing industry as a collaborative resource for cybersecurity information and analysis. The group employs a small to mid-sized team to coordinate its activities. In March 2026, Auto-ISAC announced a memorandum of understanding with ENX Association to advance collaboration on supply-chain cybersecurity risk mitigation across the global automotive ecosystem.
