AxCrypt is an award-wining startup company providing strong and simple encryption software. It all started in 2001, when AxCrypt 1.x was initially created. AxCrypt has since then grown to be one of the world’s most popular encryption software with over 20 million downloads worldwide. The initial author Svante Seleborg teamed up with serial entrepreneur Zebastian Victorin in 2014 to commercialize the product and founded AxCrypt AB to take AxCrypt to the next level.

In 2016, after 2 years of hard work and 15 years on the market, AxCrypt 2 was released. Since then we have been awarded "The world's best encryption software" by the prestigious PC Magazine in 2016, 2017 and 2018, as well as many other review sites in the world. We have a wide spectrum of users globally with the biggest markets being Europe (45% of total users) and America (30%).

Our mission is to offer encryption solutions to individuals and corporations in the simplest manner, so that we can ensure the convenient implementation and usage of our software for everyone. We’re removing the complexity from the use of strong and proven cryptographic technology.
