Axelspace is a Tokyo-based company in the space research and technology sector that focuses on microsatellite technology and its applications. It has built and operated eleven small satellites and offers two primary services: AxelGlobe, an Earth observation platform backed by a five-satellite constellation, and AxelLiner, a turnkey service for microsatellite projects. AxelGlobe images any location on Earth on a cadence of a few days. Based in Tokyo, the company brings together an international team comprising members from more than 30 countries. In September 2025, Axelspace was recognized as a GEO Associate, the first private Japanese company to receive that status. In March 2026, it announced progress on a satellite data platform intended to serve Africa.
