Axilum Robotics, founded in 2011 in Strasbourg, France, develops robotic systems to assist researchers and clinicians in performing and refining specialized medical procedures. Its first major product, the TMS-Robot, was designed to support transcranial magnetic stimulation with greater accuracy and reproducibility, and it carries CE marking. In 2018 the company introduced a new robotic platform based on collaborative robotics, expanding affordability and versatility for its users. In 2019 the company achieved CE marking and FDA 510(k) clearance for the TMS-Cobot, the first medical device using a collaborative robotic arm to attain both clearances, and it has maintained ISO 13485 certification for its quality management system since 2013. Based in Schiltigheim, in the Grand Est region of France, Axilum Robotics serves customers in 21 countries and seeks partnerships to apply its robotics capabilities to new medical applications, including transcranial ultrasound with the TUS-Cobot and TUS-Navigator introduced in 2025.
