The Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PSPRS) is a public pension fund established in 1968 to provide pension benefits for Arizona’s firefighters and police officers. The program has expanded to include the Corrections Officer Retirement Plan (CORP), the Elected Officials’ Retirement Plan (EORP), and several defined contribution plans, and it is governed by a nine-member Board of Trustees. It manages roughly $24 billion in assets on behalf of its members and participating employers, serving more than 60,000 active members, retirees, and surviving beneficiaries across more than 300 employers. Based in Phoenix, Arizona, PSPRS operates as a government administration entity focused on public retirement systems for public safety personnel. The system distributes more than $1.4 billion annually to plan retirees and their families, supporting communities statewide. In addition to its primary retirement function, the organization has received industry recognition for transparency, including the NCPERS Certificate of Transparency.
