Chiropractic care is a health care approach that focuses on the relationship between the body’s structure – mainly the spine – and its functioning. Every function in the body is directly or indirectly controlled by the nervous system. Chiropractors analyze the spine for areas where misalignment may be contributing to interference in the nervous system. These areas of interference are called subluxations and are roadblocks to the body’s natural, self-healing and self-regulation mechanisms. The purpose of the chiropractic adjustment is to correct subluxation. When subluxations are removed the body can more readily balance and heal itself.

Chiropractic care is an art and a science. There are many chiropractic techniques. Dr. Phillips mainly performs hands-on adjustments to the full spine and extremities. Dr. Phillips also incorporates a variety of special techniques including light force adjusting such as; sacral occipital technique (SOT), COX flexion-distraction, and instrument adjusting.
