Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) is a Bahrain-based provider in the airlines and aviation industry, founded in 1977 to deliver fully integrated airport services at Bahrain International Airport; the company is located at No. 2403 Al Muḩarraq, Al Muḩarraq, Bahrain, and is supported by approximately 3,000 staff within a workforce range of 1,001 to 5,000. BAS operates four business units—Airport & Ground Operations, Cargo Services, Catering Services, and Aircraft Maintenance Services—and wholly owns the BAS Aircraft Engineering Training Centre (BAETC); it is ISAGO-accredited as a Ground Service Provider. The Airport & Ground Operations unit has a handling capacity of 8 million passengers annually and serves 36 regional and international airlines, providing passenger and ramp handling, dispatch, and related services. The Cargo Services unit handles 125,000 tonnes of freight per year and operates a 19,000 square meter cargo terminal with facilities for perishables, valuables, dangerous goods, and livestock. The Catering Services unit covers 11,000 square meters with a maximum production capacity of 35,000 meals per day, currently producing about 500,000 meals monthly across 125 menus, while the Aircraft Maintenance Services unit provides line maintenance, technical certification, and troubleshooting under EASA Part-145, handling 8,000 maintenance movements annually.
