Ballet Hispánico is a New York City-based performing arts organization dedicated to Hispanic and Latine dance and recognized by the Ford Foundation as a Cultural Treasure. It pursues artistic excellence through three pillars—the Professional Company, School of Dance, and Community Arts Partnerships—and blends classical ballet and contemporary movement with Spanish and folkloric traditions; since 2009, Eduardo Vilaro has served as Artistic Director & CEO, expanding the organization’s reach. The School of Dance trains more than a thousand students annually and awards about $450,000 in scholarships, while Community Arts Partnerships engage roughly 30,000 people each year, with 75% from Title I schools. Historically, Ballet Hispánico has connected with about 2.3 million audience members and awarded $5.5 million in scholarships, and in 2024 it reached 24 million people globally, performed 60 times nationwide for 38,000 attendees, and provided 1,100 free tickets to New York performances. In December 2025, Blanca Huertas was named director of The Ballet Hispánico School.
