Ballet Petite operates as a performing arts education program focused on early childhood dance training. Its curriculum blends creative movement with foundational ballet elements, guiding young children from exploratory movement toward pre-primary ballet while incorporating storytelling, music, literature, and costume artistry to enhance artistic exposure. The program aims to provide an educational pathway that introduces dance in a structured yet imaginative way, emphasizing the emotional and imaginative development of early learners.

Based in Tysons, Virginia, Ballet Petite serves families across the DC, MD, and VA regions and offers classes in ballet, hip hop, musical theater, tap, and pointe for children from 18 months to 14 years. The organization provides a range of formats, including regular classes, camps (half-day and full-day), petite parties, and after-school enrichment, positioning itself as an intermediary step between natural movement and formal classical ballet within the broader performing arts field.
