The Baltimore Orioles are a Major League Baseball team based in Baltimore, Maryland. Since the St. Louis Browns relocated here in 1954, the franchise has become a fixture in downtown Baltimore and has captured three World Series titles, seven American League pennants, ten American League East division titles, and three Wild Card berths. The club has produced several Hall of Fame players, including Earl Weaver, Eddie Murray, Brooks Robinson, Frank Robinson, Jim Palmer, and Cal Ripken Jr. In March 2024, Major League Baseball approved the sale of the Orioles to David M. Rubenstein and his partners. The team has been rebuilding since 2019 under general manager Mike Elias and manager Brandon Hyde, with MLB Pipeline listing its farm system as No. 1 and a focus on community engagement and a family-friendly atmosphere.
