Carregosa celebrated 190 years in the financial sector in 2023. 

In fact, it was in 1833, in Rua das Flores, in Porto, that it began its commercial activity as a foreign exchange bureau, making it the oldest financial institution in the Iberian Peninsula in activity. 

Throughout the 20th century, Casa Carregosa grew, innovated and developed, adapting to an increasingly sophisticated and demanding world. 

With the granting of a banking license in 2008, L. J. Carregosa - Sociedade Financeira de Corretagem became Banco Carregosa. 

Banco Carregosa was born with the aim of occupying a specific space - that of a bank specializing in private banking, focusing on a differentiation strategy based on the figure of the independent relationship manager - trusted advisor - and a holistic view of the client's assets - private wealth management.
