Banco de la Nación is a Peruvian public-law financial institution operating in the Economy and Finance sector, endowed with economic, financial, and administrative autonomy. Its charter provides for its own patrimony and an indefinite duration, and its activities are governed by its Statute and the Law on State Economic Activity, with subsidiarily by the General Law of Banking, Financial and Insurance Institutions. Its core duties include managing delegated subaccounts of the Public Treasury and delivering central-government banking services for administering public funds. When required by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and within the National Treasury System, it acts as the state's financial agent, handling external public debt and foreign-trade operations. It also collects taxes and makes payments on behalf of the Public Treasury or under agreements with tax authorities. In Peru, in December 2025, it participated in the 29th edition of the Business Creativity Awards gala organized by UPC, where it was named a big winner.
