BandWorks is a United States–based company in the musicians industry that organizes practical, hands-on music experiences designed to enable individuals to form and perform in rock bands. The program places participants with similar levels of experience into bands, provides suitable repertoire, and pairs them with a professional musician who coaches their live performance at a local venue. By starting to play on day one and focusing on listening and ensemble skills, participants—from both kids and adults—develop as individual musicians while contributing to the group, with the aim of performing publicly after an eight-week session. The organization runs workshops year-round, offering multiple bands at varying experience levels, plus specialized programs such as summer camps, band coaching, one-day skills seminars, and sessions focused on recording in a studio. Founded in 1993, BandWorks has built a community of musicians and supporters centered on collaborative music-making and live performance, extending its reach through programs that emphasize camaraderie and practical learning.
