Founded in 1977 by Rita Humphries-Lewin, Barita Investments Limited has the distinction of being the oldest stock broking company in Jamaica. Over the past 31 years, the company has built a sound reputation for excellence in the areas of Equities Trading, Fixed Income Securities, Foreign Currency Trading, Asset Management and Investment Research. The company is licensed by the Financial Services Commission, is a member of the Jamaica Stock Exchange, and a Primary Dealer and Cambio Dealer for the Bank of Jamaica.

Since its incorporation, Barita Investments has given rise to two more companies: Barita Unit Trusts Management Company Limited and Barita Portfolio Management Limited. Barita Portfolio Management Limited has changed its name to BPM Financial, and is no longer apart of the Barita Group of Companies.

The Barita Group which is now made up of Barita Investments Limited and Barita Unit Trusts Management Company Limited, continues to experience a growth in demand for its products and services. Along with our head office in New Kingston, and our branches located in Mandeville and Montego Bay, the company remains committed to serving its customers island wide, with a dedicated team of over seventy (70) professionals.
