Far Western Kentucky's premier airport for 80 years. We proudly offer daily round-trip flights via Contour Airlines service to Charlotte, NC.

We were created by the war department in 1941, with the assistance of our namesake, and native son then Senator, Alben W. Barkley. The airport was used to facilitate the training of B-17 Bomber Crews. After the war, the Government deeded the airport to the city and county, and the airport saw its first commercial flight in 1943. Since then we have proudly provided continuous commercial air service to the travelers of our region for over 70 years! We are proud to provide this service to the travelers in our region as well as visitors from around the world as Paducah is one of the few U.S. Cities to be listed among the UNESCO Creative Cities network, as a city of Crafts and Folk Art.
