BARTKRESA studio is a boutique design studio that specializes in developing iconic experiences around the world. Their mission is to utilize light and design to create quality and lasting experiences. The studio is headquartered in Los Angeles. Their team brings experience, craft, creativity, and a love of fine arts. They are known for their work on the Universal Studios Japan "Gift of Angels" annual Christmas show and the "Universal Spectacle Night Parade: The Best of Hollywood;" the Dragon Quest Live Spectacle Tour, HBO’s Game of Thrones premieres, HBO’s Emmy and Golden Globe parties, and the Friends 25th Anniversary show on the Burj Khalifa.

The studio is led by Bart Kresa (Founder, Master Projection Designer) who has over 30 years of industry experience and unparalleled expertise in developing engaging projection experiences.

By combining timeless artistry, industry-leading projectors, and adhering to the highest technical standards, BKS develops award-winning transformative projections. Select accolades include multiple Thea awards (Outstanding Achievement, Live Show Spectacular - Universal Spectacle Night Parade; Thea Award for Gift of an Angel), over a dozen BizBash event industry awards, and numerous other honors.

BARTKRESA studio has originated multiple 360-degree projection-mapped sculptures, including Shogyo Mujo (Burning Man, Adobe Max, SIGGRAPH; currently @ Area 15), Sviatovid (ISE, InfoComm, CSK Poland, Luma Festival, Riyadh Season), and Hako (ISE, UCSB, Victoria University Wellington, Gallery 707).

Bart Kresa established the Bart Kresa Academy of Projection Design as a one-year intensive residency for recent art school graduates interested in pursuing the art of projection mapping.
