Basecamp Business operates in the information services sector, helping entrepreneurs access the people, resources, and knowledge needed to start and grow their ventures. Its main offering, the Basecamp Business Calendar Network, consolidates relevant events to facilitate face-to-face networking and connections that can advance ideas. Despite many founders' subject-matter expertise, the company notes that they often lack startup-specific experience, and the calendar network seeks to address that gap.

Based in Moorestown, New Jersey, Basecamp Business serves entrepreneurs, professional advisors, and investors who need timely information about important events. A notable development in its recent history was the launch of a free version of its software for managing personal projects in October 2019.
