Bashundhara Group is a Bangladeshi diversified conglomerate headquartered in Dhaka. It originated in 1987 as a real estate venture under East-West Property Development Ltd, with the Bashundhara project helping to address demand for urban housing. The group expanded into manufacturing, building operations in cement, paper, tissue, steel, and LPG, and developed a large-scale retail and property platform anchored by Bashundhara City, a major shopping complex. Over time it has grown to encompass more than 20 major concerns across the country, supporting a substantial workforce and livelihoods for hundreds of thousands.

Its media arm, East West Media Group Ltd, established in 2009, owns publications such as Kaler Kantho and Daily Sun and the online portal banglanews24.com, with plans to launch radio and a TV channel. The group thus operates across real estate, manufacturing, retail, and media, serving urban consumers and broad audiences through its diversified platforms. A notable recent development is a partnership with Baskin-Robbins to launch in Bangladesh.
