Basin Recreation is a recreation district based in Park City, Utah, established in 1986. It owns and manages nearly 2,300 acres of open space and operates an 87,000-square-foot indoor fieldhouse facility that serves more than 265,000 visitors annually. It also maintains about 170 miles of trails and a range of outdoor facilities, including bike parks, a skate park, groomed cross-country trails, ponds, community areas, and dog parks, while collaborating with Summit County and state and local agencies on planning and conservation. The district serves residents in the Park City area through recreation programs, fitness classes, camps, and community events. It operates within the recreational facilities sector, managing a mix of open-space assets and indoor and outdoor venues that support outdoor activity and community life. In May 2024, Basin Recreation partnered with Park City; staff reports indicate it has not expressed interest in pursuing an indoor pickleball facility.
