Bay Area Medical Center is a 99-bed general acute care hospital located in Northeast Wisconsin serving over 60,000 residents in the counties of Marinette, Wi. and Menominee, MI. It is the market’s sole primary/secondary care hospital and also offers outpatient surgery center, outpatient rehabilitation and physician specialty clinics. BAMC offers select, advanced medical services with an emphasis on heart & vascular care, women’s services, diagnostic radiology, ambulatory surgery, obstetrics, cancer treatment, and emergency care. BAMC earned full accreditation in 2015 by the Joint Commission on HealthCare Organizations. In 2014, BAMC signed an affiliate agreement with Aurora Health Care and are in the planning stages to construct a new hospital facility in Marinette with a projected opening of late 2017.
