Bay Localize is catalyzing a movement toward a regional, national, and international self-reliant economy that strengthens all communities to combat social inequity.

MISSION:
We inspire and support residents in building equitable, resilient communities. We confront the challenges of climate instability, rising food and energy costs, and recession by boosting our region's capacity to provide for everyone's needs, sustainably and equitably. We achieve this by equipping local leaders with flexible tools, models, and policies that strengthen their communities.

VISION:
There is a tremendous opportunity in our world right now to design our local economies in a way that enhances our environment and creates benefits for all. We believe it's time we took greater control over the air we breathe, the food we eat, the water we drink, and the energy and materials we use.

Through cooperation and bold action, we can secure ownership over our local environment and determine our collective future. That is why we connect local leaders, innovators, organizers and residents with policy makers to strengthen on-the-ground initiatives that are yielding tangible benefits in our communities. 
This is community resilience in action.

Resilience is about building the capacity to prevent or withstand difficult situations and hard times, and to be able to quickly recover by implementing new systems. Community Resilience provides a framework to examine the strengths and weaknesses of our communities.
