B&B Italia operates in the high-end designer furniture market, serving both residential and contract sectors such as hospitality, retail, offices, and nautical environments. The group brings together four brands—B&B Italia, Maxalto, Arclinea, and Azucena—and relies on its research and development efforts and collaborations with prominent designers to produce notable pieces such as Serie Up, Le Bambole, and Charles.

Its headquarters are in Novedrate, Lombardy, near Como, a building designed in 1971 by Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers. Since December 2018, B&B Italia has been part of Design Holding, a European group that includes leading design brands and is co-owned by Investindustrial and The Carlyle Group. The company maintains a global footprint, with a presence in more than 80 countries via a network of about 70 single-brand stores and around 1,000 specialized retailers. In March 2026, B&B Italia opened a Los Angeles showroom in partnership with Luminaire.
