The BC Council of Forest Industries (COFI) is an industry association that represents the majority of lumber, pulp and paper, and manufactured wood producers across British Columbia. It advocates for its members' interests and collaborates with government, First Nations, communities, labor, and other partners to promote a healthy, diversified, and sustainable forest economy that benefits people and families throughout the province. COFI's stated vision is a forest sector that remains globally competitive and capable of delivering low-carbon products, while serving as a model for environmental stewardship, product innovation and technological advances. It emphasizes that its environmental, social, governance and economic performance should reflect the evolving priorities of a broad range of stakeholders, including employees, communities, Indigenous Peoples, supply chain partners, customers, shareholders, investors and governments. Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, COFI continues to play an active role in industry dialogue, as shown by its recent Annual Convention, which drew more than 600 attendees from industry, community and First Nations leadership as well as government.
