Ms. Beard brings a broad range of legal experience to her practice. She began her legal career with the Modrall Law Firm in Albuquerque in 1998. She later spent nearly a decade in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, practicing with both a large law firm and as in-house counsel for a Fortune 500 homebuilder. Ms. Beard returned to New Mexico in 2008 and served as “of counsel” to the Miller Stratvert firm in Albuquerque until opening her own practice. With proven litigation and counseling experience in the areas of employment, construction, personal injury and consumer rights, Ms. Beard helps individuals and businesses tackle their legal challenges. She will also represent children and incapacitated individuals as a guardian ad litem. Ms. Beard is a passionate advocate who works hard and efficiently to get good results for her clients. She will listen to your concerns, identify your legal options in simple terms and work with you to determine the best strategy to tackle your issue. Ms. Beard welcomes the opportunity to take a case to trial to achieve justice when settlement efforts fail. Ms. Beard is a 1995 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, with highest honors, and a 1998 graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center, with honors. At Georgetown, Ms. Beard was an editor of the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics, proudly served indigent clients as a member of the DC Law Students in Court clinic and earned the Saint Thomas More Award for excellence in the area of legal ethics.
