Established in the 1970s by Munich native Carl Demler, Beethoven Pianos is the oldest family-owned piano store in New York City. Known for their eclectic and diverse group of piano enthusiasts, the company has garnered extensive expertise in the art of piano sales, restoration and production. For over 40 years, the company has amassed a 1,000 piano collection consisting of both grand and upright pianos, vintage and new. These pianos are available for sale and for rentals. The company supports flexible plans for their customers interested in renting a piano. Pianos can be rented on a short term basis for weddings, concerts, event and film projects. Clients uncertain of buying or in need for longer term rental periods can do so with the company’s long term rental plan offered at a monthly or annual basis. Beethoven Pianos also offers a full range of piano services. Masterful technicians at the company are expert in piano repair, restoration and tuning. The company also has an in-house moving team that can deliver pianos across the varying routes the city has to offer. Most recently, this team of movers were featured in the New York Times for their expertise in maneuvering an 800 pound piano to a Harlem Brownstone. Today, the company has two locations: a Manhattan showroom located on 58th Street between 7th and 8th Avenue, and a Bronx Warehouse located in 2403 Third Avenue.
