The Ben Massell Dental Clinic has provided the most advanced dental care available to Atlanta's neediest patients for the past century. The clinic has come a long way since it began as a general health clinic 100 years ago. With 7,900 square feet, 15 operatories, two hygiene rooms and the latest, state-of-the art technology in dental equipment, we serve thousands of patients each year, and demand is growing.

Technology is truly where BMDC shines. Thanks to in-kind donations from generous dental manufacturers, the clinic rivals most private dental offices around the country.

More than 200,000 people in the 12-county Atlanta area need and qualify for the Clinic’s services.  In 2007 more than 14,500 procedures were performed at the Clinic on over 6,000 patients.  The Ben Massell Dental Clinic is one of the only charity dental providers in Atlanta to offer comprehensive dental services to HIV-positive individuals who are financially disadvantaged. Our unique base of patients is smaller than 6,000. In the last fiscal year delivered nearly $2.6 million services.

In 2009, the clinic became Atlanta's first LEED Gold-certified healthcare facility. The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification system is the nation’s pre-eminent program for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.
