Bencar Building Systems has been in operation for over 20 years. It started with a desire to give our clients a professional and enjoyable remodel experience because it is possible with the right tools (and we don't mean just hammers and nails!). That desire grew as we went from working in our basement to an office above our garage to an office and shop at 210 North Plains Industrial Road in Wallingford. Mark gained experience from a hands-on education working for his uncle's home construction company after graduating from high school. His project management lessons were learned as a job superintendent for a premier home builder in the Sonoma County California area. Nancy graduated from a Connecticut College with an associate's degree in secretarial science. She enjoyed the customer service aspect in all the office positions she had, but has enjoyed this company the most! Their son Cody Benson joined the company following his graduation in 2012 from Southern Connecticut State University. He worked in the field for 10 years before moving into the office in July of 2022 as an estimator/project manager. Bencar Building Systems has grown from 2 people to 10 over these 20-plus years and they currently have three teams in the field, a receptionist/assistant, and a full-time estimator/project manager. Our client goal continues to be - to give them what they expect which is a job completed the way they envisioned it.
