Bend Park & Recreation District, based in Bend, Oregon, operates and maintains more than 2,700 acres of developed and undeveloped parkland, including 81 parks and open spaces and 65 miles of trails. It offers over 1,000 recreation programs for all ages and abilities, delivered throughout the area and at facilities such as the Juniper Swim & Fitness Center, The Pavilion, and the Bend Senior Center. The district is a special tax district separate from the City of Bend and is governed by a five-member elected Board of Directors, with day-to-day management by an Executive Director. In its industry, the organization provides public park and recreation services that support access to outdoor spaces and programming for residents. It earned the National Gold Medal Award for excellence in park and recreation management in 2006 and, in October 2025, won three awards at the Oregon Recreation and Parks Association annual conference. It also hosts community events including the July 4th Festival & Pet Parade and Days of Play.
