Bend Park & Recreation District, based in Bend, Oregon, operates and maintains more than 2,700 acres of developed and undeveloped parkland, including 81 parks and open spaces and 65 miles of trails. It offers over 1,000 recreation programs for all ages and abilities, delivered throughout the area and at facilities such as the Juniper Swim & Fitness Center, The Pavilion, and the Bend Senior Center. The district is a special tax district separate from the City of Bend and is governed by a five-member elected Board of Directors, with day-to-day management by an Executive Director.
