Beyond Conflict is an international affairs organization based in Boston, Massachusetts, focused on community-centered approaches to peace. Researchers at the organization study, test, and scale interventions intended to help communities mitigate, resolve, and recover from conflict, while promoting reconciliation and durable peace. The organization works with communities and partner organizations to translate insights into practical solutions that can be applied in real-world settings. In spring 2025, Beyond Conflict announced the launch of Building the Field: A Science and Community-Informed Approach to Addressing Identity-Based Polarization in Nigeria. The initiative builds on years of conflict-management interventions, behavioral science research, and sustained community partnerships in Nigeria to provide an evidence-based pathway for applying and sharing these insights on a larger scale.
