BiblioBoard + Indie Author Project operates in the libraries sector and is based in Charleston, South Carolina. Through a relationship with Lyrasis, a nonprofit membership organization, it provides tools that help libraries engage their communities by creating, sharing, and discovering local content. The platform supports libraries in producing local content—whether multimedia collections or professional-quality eBooks—and enables patrons to contribute works to library collections and to showcase local authors.

Patrons can access library content quickly and simultaneously across devices, using location-based access to reach all BiblioBoard Library materials. The platform originated in 2011 and was acquired by Lyrasis in 2021, reflecting its integration into a broader library technology ecosystem.
