B.I.G. Love Cancer Care is a Houston-based nonprofit established in February 2007 in memory of Brooke A. Phillips, a child who fought leukemia before passing away at age five. The organization works to ease the childhood cancer journey by offering personalized support to patients and their families, including meals, financial assistance for expenses such as gas and rent, counseling, scholarships, and end-of-life services. This approach centers on practical aid alongside emotional and logistical support to families facing pediatric cancer. The group operates across nine Texas hospitals with more than a dozen service-based programs, delivering services year-round and reaching over 100,000 patients and families annually. Hospitals served include Texas Children’s Hospital (Main Campus, Katy, and The Woodlands), MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital, Dell Children’s Medical Center, Methodist Children’s Hospital, Brooke Army Medical Center, McLane’s Children’s Hospital, and the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. In 2024, B.I.G. Love Cancer Care partnered with Texas A&M University-Central Texas to host a toy drive, reflecting ongoing community collaborations.
