Biogenics Research Chamber is a pollen challenge chamber designed to conduct allergy exposure studies in a controlled environment utilizing clean room technology. Biogenics Research Chamber studies pharmacological treatments to control signs and symptoms of allergic rhinoconjuctivitis and other respiratory diseases. Our facility is ideal for proof of concept and dose ranging studies and determining mechanisms of action and efficacy of medications while evaluating allergic rhinoconjunctivitis and asthma.

The chambers are designed to measure the pharmacologic effects and to aid in the study of the inflammatory and immunological mechanisms of subjects' responses when challenged under controlled conditions. While in the chamber, subjects are monitored continuously by highly trained investigators and staff. Subject compliance and symptoms assessment are accurate and reproducible. Biogenics Research Chamber functions fully within Good Clinical Practice Standards and according to FDA regulations/guidelines. All staff are trained and certified accordingly. 

There are two chambers with a central control room and a staging area. The large chamber seats up to 52 subjects and the smaller chamber seats up to 32 subjects. There are no fixed furnishings in either chamber, thus allowing chamber design specific to protocol conditions. Pollen is delivered in a consistent and uniform manner and pollen counts are routinely monitored throughout a study.
