Ken Ceder, CEO, was formerly co-director of Hippocrates Health Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. Ken formed OTT Light Systems (OLS) in 1988 after meeting and collaborating with pioneering photo-biologist Dr. John Ott; the father of full-spectrum light technology. 

Ken sold his rights to the “Ott” trademark and formed bioLight Group (bLG) now repurposed (2012) as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; Science of Light (SOL). 

SOL has improved and advanced Dr. Ott's full-spectrum fluorescent light technology to the green technology of light emitting diodes (LED). SOL's patent pending technology known as photo-modulation (cellular modulation by light) is a scientific method that allows the use of specific wavelengths of the light spectrum for therapeutic purposes to stimulate the metabolic activity of cells.

Our Mission is to raise awareness of mal-illumination, a contemporary syndrome that impacts obesity, depression, fatigue, sleep and many other serious health conditions. Our mandate is to provide leading edge technology that reduces the risk of this silent epidemic.
