Birchcliff Energy Ltd. is a Calgary-based energy producer engaged in exploring for, developing and producing natural gas, light oil, and natural gas liquids. The company concentrates its activity in Alberta's Montney/Doig Resource Play, a field management considers among North America's premier resource plays, with most operations centered in the Pouce Coupe and Gordondale areas. It owns large, contiguous blocks of high-working-interest land and controls its own infrastructure, supporting a slate of repeatable, low-cost drilling opportunities targeting natural gas, condensate and NGLs as well as light oil. 
Birchcliff's common shares trade on the TSX under the symbol BIR. In late 2023 the company announced a leadership transition, appointing Chris Carlsen as President and Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2024, succeeding Jeff Tonken.
