The Birmingham Conservatoire is a music education and performance institution in Birmingham, England, operating as a faculty of Birmingham City University and serving as a major concert venue for Birmingham's principal concert promoters and organisations, hosting hundreds of events annually. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes, and includes a junior department, with over 600 musicians studying within its community. The Conservatoire employs 51-200 staff. In 2017 it moved into a new £56 million, purpose-built building that provides five public performance spaces (including a jazz venue), more than 70 practice rooms, and state-of-the-art recording studios. It is led by Principal Professor Julian Lloyd Webber and runs a Learning and Participation Programme for music education activities in the local community and beyond.
