Birthday Cakes 4 Free Maryland (BC4F) is a nonprofit organization that bakes, decorates, and delivers free birthday cakes to financially and socially disadvantaged children and seniors in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area. Based in Maryland, the group operates within the civic and social sectors and aims to provide recipients with a sense of being valued by their community. The organization supports charities by producing more than 200 cakes each month, addressing a need for celebration and inclusion among vulnerable populations. BC4F’s work focuses on creating accessible celebratory experiences for individuals who might otherwise lack access to such largescale, personalized treats. The organization is small in scale, serving a regional area from its Maryland base. A recent development is its continued commitment to expanding its cake distribution through partnerships with local charities.
