Being named for the "Bishop of Charity" is quite an honor and responsibility. Bishop Mugavero, the first Brooklyn-born bishop of Brooklyn, always seemed to be looking out for someone else. He dedicated his efforts to social need, the elderly and the welfare of the people of his diocese.
