Bishop's University is a primarily undergraduate English-language university located in Sherbrooke, in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. Founded in 1843, it comprises five faculties and more than 100 programs, all housed on a 550-acre campus. The institution emphasizes intimate class sizes and a close-knit community, supported by a diverse international student body of about 2,800 full-time students and a community of over 23,000 alumni. It is the smallest English-language university in Quebec, a distinction that underlines its more personalized academic environment. In the Canadian higher-education landscape, Bishop's serves primarily undergraduate students seeking English-language programs and emphasizes a personalized educational experience. A recent development is a partnership with the Public Health Agency of Canada to expand a community-science tick surveillance platform developed at Bishop's University.
