Blake’s All Natural Foods is a family business in Concord, NH known for their organic & natural meals made from scratch in small batches. Blake’s started as a family farm by Great Grandma Clara Blake in 1929 raising the finest free-range, all-natural turkeys and soon became a holiday standard for thousands of New England families. In 1970 Charlie Blake sold their first pot pie from the back of his ‘67 Chevy and thus Blake’s pot pies were started. Four decades later, Charlie and his wife, Sally, were distributing pot pies throughout New England and built a new production facility at the farm. They were still using Clara’s recipes, cutting vegetables by hand and making gravy from scratch. Theirs was a thrifty, mom-and-pop business operating with a simple goal: Put healthy meals on the table for as many folks as possible. In 2006, when Chris & Amy (Charlie & Sally’s daughter) joined the business, their daughters Blake & Lucy were just three, and the young parents were thinking about the food they were putting on the table. Chris had a deep belief that food could play an important role in not only the health of Blake’s customers but also in encouraging families to sit together at mealtime. A Blake’s meal allows busy families, moms, retirees or college students to focus on their busy lives knowing they have a trusted meal in the freezer. After taking over as President, Chris had the production facility approved as a Certified Organic food facility and launched a line of organic meals for the Natural channel. Blake’s has risen to be a category leader within the Natural channel, achieving the #2 brand and having the #1 and #8 item on the frozen shelves. Today, in its 4th generation, Blake’s meals can be found in nearly 6,000 stores nationwide including Target, Whole Foods Market, Market Basket, Publix, Kroger, to name a few. Blake’s is blessed with a wonderful staff and a shared vision for positively affecting the lives of their customers through their food.
