Blast Theory is a performing arts collective that creates interactive works addressing social and political questions. Their immersive experiences place audiences at the center of provocative narratives designed to broaden perspectives and open avenues for change.

Based in Brighton and Hove, England, and founded in 1991, the group develops performances, games, films, apps and installations that blend popular culture with new technologies. They collaborate with researchers, including a long-running partnership with the Mixed Reality Lab at the University of Nottingham, and offer international teaching and lectures at institutions such as the Sorbonne and Stanford. Their work has been commissioned by Channel 4, Sundance, and the Royal Opera House and presented at major venues such as the Venice Biennale, Tribeca, and Tate Britain. In 2025 they announced the development of a new mobile app to share stories from Brighton and around the world.
