The Blissfest Music Organization is a nonprofit educational and performing arts group based in northwest Lower Peninsula, Michigan, focused on sustaining and presenting folk arts over the year. It operates a festival program at the Blissfest Festival Farm near Cross Village and maintains year‑round programming in Emmet County, serving audiences interested in traditional and contemporary folk arts. As an affiliated organization with the International Folk Alliance and other Michigan folk groups, it supports the broader folk arts ecosystem through programming, partnerships, and charitable activities, and operates as a tax‑exempt entity accepting donations. Founded in 1981, the organization is located in Petoskey, Michigan, and has a modest to mid‑size nonprofit staff and volunteer base dedicated to ongoing education and performance activities in the region. A notable recent development is the appointment of a new artistic director to lead its festival and artistic programming.
