Blizzard Ski & Snowboard School operates as a traveling instruction program for youth in kindergarten through 12th grade, offering ski and snowboarding lessons delivered on snow. Founded in 1958, the organization concentrates on safety, skill development, and enjoyment of snowsports on the slopes. Its aim is to foster lifelong participation in skiing and snowboarding for families. Blizzard is part of the Recreational Facilities industry and maintains credentialing through membership in PSIA and AASI, organizations that train and certify instructors. The company is based in Golden Valley, Minnesota, and operates with a relatively small to midsize team, leveraging a traveling model to bring instruction to youth across communities. The program emphasizes opportunities for youth to connect with peers and to develop personal responsibility within the context of organized snowsports.
