Bloomington-Normal, IL located in Central Illinois, is the halfway point between Chicago and St. Louis. It boasts one of the youngest, most educated and talented workforces in the Midwest.  The EDC seeks to continue this region's history of economic stability and prosperity. McLean County’s has a rich and productive agricultural base, four higher educational institutions and many technical training institutes, two outstanding health care systems, State Farm & COUNTRY Financial’s headquarters and affiliate operations. We also have a thriving  nonprofit, arts and cultural community, and the nearly 3,000 small-to-medium sized enterprises who continue to make invaluable contributions to Bloomington-Normal’s economic stability and vitality.   

The Bloomington-Normal EDC grows the local economy by assisting with local business expansion, recruiting new businesses and companies to the area, and encouraging the next wave of entrepreneurs to establish their business here.
